America’s Favorite Motor Vehicle Most Deadly of 2017: NHTSA
New data from the National Highway Traffic Administration’s annual report shows slightly less people died on U.S. roads last year. Overall, 37,133 died in 2017, down 1.8% compared with 37,806 in 2016 .
However, fatalities increased for SUV occupants (3%) and crashes involving large trucks (9%).
