The ‘World’s First Autonomous-Class’ Car Processor Has Just Been Unveiled

Arm Holdings, a British company with more than an 80-percent share of the smartphone processing market, has just announced a new chip that could steer the future of self-driving cars.

The Cortex-A76AE is “the world’s first autonomous-class processor with integrated safety.” The chip is one of three new products that could bring fully self-driving cars to consumers by 2027.
